Prayer Week: June 2026
We’re back in the Prayer Room!
From Monday 22 to Saturday 27 June, we’ll once again dedicate ourselves to seeking the face of Jesus in a 24-7 Prayer Room at Victoria Road Chapel, Stanford-le-Hope - days of unbroken prayer, day and night, as a community.
What is a 24-7 Prayer Room?
A 24-7 Prayer room is a creative prayer space that enables a chain of unbroken day and night prayer, bringing friends, communities and churches together to seek the presence of God.
Ancient Celts used the phrase “thin places” to describe where the veil between heaven and earth becomes so thin that prayer flows easily, and the still, small voice of God is heard clearly.
Over and over, people report that in the presence of God, one hour feels like ten minutes.

What will we be praying about?
Prayer changes things. It changes hearts, communities, and nations. Most importantly, it brings us into the presence of God, where heaven meets earth.
This June, we invite you to join us as we prayerfully explore three themes that are at the heart of Proximity Church:
Prayer
Together, we will create space to encounter God. To dwell in His presence, breathe deeply of His Spirit, and receive His love and goodness. A space to worship Him, surrender our hearts, and honour Him above all else.
Mission
We'll pray for our families, friends, community, nation, and world. We'll ask God to show us who He's placed around us, where He's calling us to step out in faith, and how we can join Him in His mission.
Justice
We'll also stand in prayer for those facing poverty, exploitation, conflict, and persecution, both locally and globally, asking God to bring His hope, mercy, and justice.
